Shaun and Ally came to me for a couple’s session to capture their engagement photos. They chose Sabino Canyon as a location, which turned out absolutely perfect for them! Their soft love for one another was a beautiful contrast to the harsh and rugged desert landscape.
Ally wore a gorgeous blue floral dress with pops or red, orange, pink, and white. Shaun wore a complementary navy blue button-up with small white polka-dots. Some of the best colors to contrast the colors of the desert are blue, red, pink, and yellow, so I knew instantly Shaun and Ally were going to be luminous against their desert backdrop.
The evening of their spring session was pleasantly warm and sunny. Spring in Tucson is one of the best times of year here, but it often comes with wind. Thankfully on the day of their session, there was only a slight breeze. Shaun and Ally’s session was my most affectionate session ever. They kissed, hugged, nuzzled, laughed, danced, and couldn’t keep their hands off of each other. Capturing affection is what I am passionate about, so I was thrilled to capture so much love between the two of them.
Although Sabino Canyon is a drive for me, it’s one of my favorite locations for couple’s sessions. It’s giant saguaros and mountain sunsets create breathtaking and dramatic portraits. One simple location gives way to hundreds of gorgeous shots. I end up struggling to sort through them, because I end up loving them all.
Shaun and Ally’s session was no different. I fell in love with all of their images. The colors, the backdrop, and most of all, their absolute love and adoration for one another. Their session was gorgeous. It began with a kiss and ended with a ring.
