University of Arizona Senior Session
I love photographing University of Arizona grads, and Shelby’s grad session was nothing shy of awesome! I began our session incorporating some of the beautiful University of Arizona architecture. We started near the front of campus with a beautiful arched entryway covered in climbing greenery. It was breathtaking with Shelby standing out beautifully in her white dress. Because it was still so sunny, I decided to keep us in the shade of the buildings, and right around the corner I found a wall covered in ivy. It wasn’t the best lighting, but we made it work. Shelby looked incredible with her white dress, red lips and the ivy behind her.
As a California native, her mom asked if we could incorporate some cactus in her session. The University of Arizona isn’t desert adjacent unfortunately, but it does have a small patch of desert in its center. After the ivy wall we took a short hike to the desert location to shoot her amongst the saguaros and desert flora. Once again her outfit and bright smile made her shine amidst the prickly native plants.
After shooting Shelby with the saguaros, we walked back to the Old Main building. This building is a staple for University of Arizona photo sessions. Unfortunately, however, it was the middle of grad season and the building was overrun with photographers and grads. There was actually a wait on either side of the building to photograph on the building’s infamous steps. Not wanting to waste our precious time, I had Shelby follow me to the second floor. We shot against the balcony, and eventually found our place on the Old Main steps. We finished the session with confetti, balloons, palm trees and some amazing Tucson skies. It was a fun and fabulous session.
